Mapping out my Swimming Trip

Here is an overview of the Pacific Ocean where I am swimming now...Looks like a straight shot to the Hawaiian Islands and then on to Guam.  I will see which island is in my most direct point as I keep swimming! 

On my way to San Nicholas Island and then on to the Hawaiian Islands, will know later which ones I will be swimming t, then I'll head across the Ocean to Guam. I am looking forward to the adventure!

Yes, actually, San Clemente Island, vacation spot for President Richard Nixon is just to the South of me and I can see it form where I am swimming!

Catalina Island - My first stop!

While I am on my way to my next destination, here are some photos of Catalina Island!  I actually had a chance to visit in 2004 as part of a sailing team of five women who sailed from San Diego to Catalina Island. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I will always cherish my time there!  I bought some beautiful mermaid prints that I love.  I did not go diving, however, I will probably go scuba diving when I go back! Enjoy the photos!

Beginning the journey!

 Okay, so Speedo came up with this idea of Pace Club and I LOVE IT!  So one of the things I have to do is design my swims anywhere in the world!  So I thought, why not swim around the world? So I can use my blog to post my progress and all of the places I visit on my swim! So far, I have swum from San Diego to LA and then I headed West across the Pacific to Catalina Island and now I am on my way to the next island...San Nicolas Island. So I will share swim thoughts, photos, and facts about the islands I am swimming toward and any other thoughts that come to mind! Please join me in my adventure!
